Artist KyungHye, CHUNG in playing the piano, has spent her youth in endless studies and practices on composers and the musical pieces for a very long time.

as well as an intangible momentary artwork that feels like it was never anywhere, dissipating away the moment it is played, says artist KyungHye, CHUNG Maybe, such process was an endless path just outside of one’s reach, existing somewhere inside the art of the composer on which the artist finds her art. The times spent exploring, practicing and studying endlessly to reach the unseen beauty, the moments on the stage that were most beautiful in the heat of the moment, for which we sweat and get nervous for, would all have been abbreviations of our lives. The artist’s road, existing in its intangible status somewhere there, has been converted into a tangible form, left behind as an image anywhere, anytime. Beautiful thoughts, emotions, future-oriented values held in heads and hearts tell their stories in a totally different language of art, delivered to the audience irrespective of time and space, through the medium of pictures. All of artwork by artist KyungHye, CHUNG are depicted as messages to all the past selves that have endlessly searched for one’s own art and so all the ‘ME’s in the world passing through such moments of life.
777 (chill chill chill) series
The 777 Series, begun in 2023, is a variation that playfully combines the number 777—celebrated worldwide as the “jackpot number”—with the fact that the English pronunciation of seven echoes the sound of chill. Just like the thrilling moment when 777 aligns on a slot machine, the series wishes for viewers to encounter fortune in the most relaxed and flexible state of mind.
Chill goes beyond simple leisure; it represents finding inner peace and viewing oneself and the world with ease. While the Inner Peace Series embodies this inner calm and harmony, the 777 Series builds upon that foundation, expressing the power to live with balance and openness and to welcome life’s unexpected “jackpot moments.”

The biggest goal of the works is to have the viewers feel the self-confidence and the almighty feeling directly through images, as if they have just finished reading a self-help book.
Life isn’t sweet all the time. But like a Coke Zero that tastes sweet despite its lack of sugar, the coolness of life is being conveyed with the theme being that the sweeteners exist in our minds.
525,600 is a number depicting the year in minutes, expressing the importance of each moment and the hopes that the sweetness hiding within are not lost. The six boxes emphasize looking at the good side for a given case, and also while pointing at all the sides, emphasizes that there’s a good side to everything.
The LIFE IS COOL works, is the series that the artist has drawn when she was starting to draw, and a variation work that has displaced what she wanted to say in music into drawings. All the variations of other series have been made so that they connect to the main melody (message) of LIFE IS COOL.
Inner Peace, svp Var.
The hour when all the TV programs are over, and when the moon has shared all its shine with the dark night.
The Inner Peace, s'il vous plaît variation work, depicting the search for inner peace while facing the true self during the calm and warm hours of the night.
It tells the story of the biggest joy coming from the calmest of minds with the image of an amusement park, with the Ferris wheel, the merry-go-round and rollercoasters. The house with the pointy roof looks like an arrow sign pointing upwards. It conveys the complex mind of wanting to stay and wanting to go up at the same time. While being a relaxing, resting moment soaking into the peaceful mood though gazing away at a bonfire, with a warm cup of tea and a good read, along with the sound of the calm without a beat or a melody., it contains the nightly hours in which the maintenance for the mind can happen in order to take the next step forward.

This work depicts our true ally, ever attentive, walking alongside us even on winding, uncertain paths. It speaks of someone who respects every choice we make, who stays faithfully by our side, or quietly prays to be there.
Tamagotchi Variations
Tamagotchi
This is a variation series that started off from the famous quote of Hermann Hesse’s Demian, “The egg is the world”, added with the concept of the childhood toy, Tamagotchi.
This series was worked on with the the following theme: All the potential we have inside ourselves, exists inside the world from which we must break out of in Demian, in the egg. The egg, is the first stage in a Tamagotchi, holding infinite potential to raise however we deem fit. The act of breaking out of a world after demolishing it would require infinite efforts from the one trying to be born, but with hopes that each of those moments would be infinitely joyful as the process of nurturing a Tamagotchi egg.

When I'm walking down the street or waking up in the morning and contemplating how to spend my day, beautiful stories suddenly come to mind.
Even when I'm talking to friends on the phone, I find myself envious of their happy and peaceful lives, and those thoughts sometimes inspire my own stories.
When I'm alone, I imagine the future, how I'll live, and what that future holds. Sometimes, I read books I've been meaning to read, imagining their contents. I hope those happy days and touching stories become my own.
I want to capture these precious and beautiful stories, stories worth remembering, through art.
